The anatomy of an OtterBox case

I was never big on cellphone case. They may the phone bigger and bulkier. But back in 2005 I "dropped" my Nokia 6600 smartphone on the pavement, destroying the casing. The internals were not damage, and a new case was all that was needed. I considered this a freak accident because I had left my cellphone on my lap while getting out of my car. Two years later, I had my Nokia E61i on a belt holster, and accidentally slammed it into a door knob which damaged the case. After that I change my mind on the need for a protective case for a mobile phone.

With the increased utility of todays mobile phones getting the some protection is more important. As the amount of time we spend with our mobile phones increase the chance of having an accident resulting in damage to our devices increase.

One type of protection are the thin "Invisible Shields" that are really thin layers of plastic, similar to screen protectors. The advantage of these is they add almost no weight or bulk to the phone.  These protect your phone from scratches but not from impact.

Plastic crystal and aluminum cases, are also primarily intended to protect your phone from scratches and do provide some protection in case you drop your phone. Since these cases are made of hard plastic the full force of the impact is still transfer to your phone.

Better protection can be had from silicone, rubber, leather and soft plastic cases.  These cases shield your phone from scratches and absorb or dampen some of the impact from a fall. Generally, the softer and thicker the silicone is, the better it is a dampening shock damage. A very soft silicone or rubber case would itself get easily scratch or torn, and may actually allow sharp or pointed objects to easily penetrate the case. OtterBox has several solutions problem.

OtterBox Impact series is looks like your basic silicone case but the inside of the case is "cored". Basically a series of holes are molded into the inner side of the case, resulting in a fairly hard and durable silicone case exterior with a softer skeletal like interior. The inside is effectively softer by taking aways lateral support from the silicone in the interior of the case. This will provide a greater degree of shock protection to your phone than the typical silicone case.

A second solution employed by OtterBox is to provide a two piece case with a very soft piece of silicone to wrap the phone and placing a hard polycarbonate shell which snaps onto the soft silicone case. It results in hard outer shell with a soft shock absorbing interior. This is the technology employed in OtterBoxs Commuter and Defender cases, the latter being the larger more protective case. 

I have used two of these cases, a pair of Commuters, one on a HTC HD2 and the other on a HTC Desire HD. I have to find a case which I feel will provide a greater degree of shock protection in case of a drop.

The newest technological innovation from OtterBox is their Reflex series. This is a probably the most innovative OtterBox design which is silicone case with a hollow interior, surrounding your phone with an air cushion. On impact, the Reflex cases "flexes" absorbing the shock and returns to its original form back. The design principal is pretty much follows the principal of a car tire. 

Whichever series you opt for OtterBox has clearly applied the most to discovering new innovative technology to protect your mobile device.

Review of SM T331 may be the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4

The South Korean company not for a single second and is constantly evolving , which is important in the world of technology if not lag behind . One of the things that characterizes Samsung is the large number and variety of mobile devices that has to its credit , smartphones and tablets with covering different ranges , from low , to mid-range to high-end devices .

Over the past few days has heard of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lite , but this is not the only device that is working on a new tablet , which would be called Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 . Today has appeared a mysterious model on a website called Zauba India that makes us think it might be this new tablet.



The model in question is the SM- T331 and based on it we can come to the conclusion that you can try a new model that belong to the series of the Galaxy Tab , and remember that the Galaxy Tab 8.0 features three model numbers SM- T310 SM - T311 and SM- T315 . Moreover, beside the SM- T331 model has also been leaked that would price the device, which would be $ 550, which suggests a high-end tablet , or at least a higher range than the current Galaxy Tab.

The fact that the SM- T331 may correspond to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 and it can be a higher current to the Galaxy Tab range market model begs the possibility that the new tablet from the South Korean company is accompanied by a screen Super AMOLED .

Currently we do not have much information about the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, even the screen size remains a mystery , but some believe it could be between 8 and 10 inches , since apparently Samsung would be working in panels Super AMOLED those sizes . Regarding the other specs from SamMobile say that we should not expect that has powerful features like those found in the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 in 2014, but is expected to have a good value for money.

However, we have to wait to see if new leaks truly mysterious SM- T331 model corresponds to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 and gradually also know the possible features that would have the new Samsung tablet arise.

Leaked screenshot of U S Cellulars internal system shows the Samsung Galaxy S III

A leaked screenshot of the internal computer system of U.S. Cellular shows that the regional carrier could be among the mobile operators in the States to offer the Samsung Galaxy S III. Based on a couple of entries in the carriers computer system, the 16GB variant of the device will be made available in either white or blue. None of the U.S. carriers has yet to officially announce the device, easily the most anticipated Android phone of the year with 9 million units pre-ordered overseas. As weve told you, that makes the Samsung Galaxy S III the fastest selling device in history.

It wouldnt be out of character for the Samsung Galaxy S III to be available at U.S. Cellular, considering that its predecessor model, the Samsung Galaxy S II, is currently available from the mobile operator. We would expect the major carriers to get first crack at the phone and speculation is that T-Mobile will be launching the unit on June 20th, so dont expect the device to hit the U.S. Cellular line up for a few weeks after that date. Despite some delays, the Samsung Galaxy S III was officially launched globally on Tuesday

These daredevil teenagers get their kicks, and take their lives in their hands, by scaling towering landmarks and posing for dizzying photos, which are meant to give you both a perspective you’ve never seen before, and that feeling like you have just been hit over the head with a double shot of vertigo.
  

The so-called skywalkers have shinned up cranes, statues and bridges across Russia in their quest for breathtaking views.  Incredibly, there is no sign of any safety ropes or harnesses as they perch on the edge of lofty landmarks in Moscow.
  

The photos are certainly incredible, but at the same time it only takes one slip for the fad to turn into a terrible tragedy. Ah Russian teens…Maybe they thought roulette was old fashioned and opted for an alternative.
